With Spring in full swing, the weekends are starting to fill up with lots of fun trips to look forward to. And with that, comes lots of packing [yay!] and unpacking [eh]. So to make life just a little bit easier, we’re sharing our tips on how to pack the perfect travel makeup bag.
When packing a travel makeup bag, the trick is to get the most looks out of the fewest products. To do that, we focus on getting at least one look from the following three categories: Neutral/Everyday, Dramatic/Night-Out, and something Unique/Fun. This way, we will be ready for anything!
Let’s start with the face:
Neutral/Everyday
Garnier BB Cream (light coverage)
Maybelline Dream Matte Powder
Maybelline Fit Blush “Light Mauve”
Dramatic/Night-Out
Laura Mercier Silk Crème Foundation “Rose Ivory” (full-coverage)
Hard Candy Bronzer “Tropics”
St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse
*Unique/Fun*
MAC “So Sweet, So Easy” (a neon pink crème blush)
Next up, the eyes:
Neutral/Everyday
Urban Decay Naked Palette (the left half of the palette)
VS Eyeliner “Dark Chocolate”
Urban Decay Supercurl Mascara
Dramatic/Night-Out
Urban Decay Naked Palette (the right half of the palette)
Elf Cream Eyeliner “Black”…perfect for cat-eyes!
Urban Decay Primer Potion
False Lashes and Duo Lash Glue
*Unique/Fun*
Maybelline Quad “Seashore Frost”…the bright pinky/lavender and blue rock!
Last up, the lips:
Neutral/Everyday
Gal Collection Balm “Peach”
Dramatic/Night-Out
MAC “Shy Girl”
Lip Fusion Lip Plump “Sweet”
*Unique/Fun*
Maybelline “Yummy Plummy”
NYX Lipliner “Prune”
Now it’s time to pack it all up. We like water-resistant, zipup travel bags that can hang from a door. This particular bag is from Victoria’s Secret and holds all of our makeup and then some, but of course you can find one of these guys anywhere. Happy travels! xoxo
I need a bag like that… Everything is so neatly packed!
Thanks! Target has some great bags right now. Love your blog 🙂
