I’m definitely a leather kind of girl, but usually reserve this tough material for fall and winter. I was excited when I found these slate-colored shorts at Bebe a few months ago, as I plan on rocking them during the spring and summer. In this look, I’ve softened the easy, breezy leather even more by pairing it with punchy neons…
and upped the girl quotient by adding sparkly flats.
When shopping for warm-weather leather, stay on the lookout for feminine shapes in soft or flirty colors, while avoiding tough details like spikes or studs. Also, keep in mind your body temperature when picking out a warm-weather leather (or faux-leather) piece. Thinner equals cooler, which will be key for the warmer months that lie ahead.

Hi there! Loving your blog, my name is Katie Elliott I am the creator of Tag a Trend.co.uk (www.tagatrend.co.uk)
The website works like this: each week I announce a new fashion trend, and people send in pictures of themselves wearing that trend to tagatrend@gmail.com along with their name, age, town and a link to their blog.
These pictures then appear on our Facebook wall at http://www.facebook.com/TagATrend and on the Tag a Trend site.
Next week’s trend is ‘Neon Dream’ so anything neon or fluorescent coloured and as I can see you are loving the trend, I thought you might be interested in getting involved and sending in a pic of yourself in something neon!
Your picture will be featured with a direct link back to your blog so is great for spreading the word about your site!
Look forward to hearing from you!
