If you’ve been hesitant to try out the popular crop top trend this season, fear no more. They are surprisingly easy to wear! This post is part one of a series of three, all in which I am sporting the same black American Apparel crop top. The first look is all about the high waisted pant, the easiest way, I think, to break into this trend.
With a crop top, I focus on keeping the waist of whatever bottoms I have on high; the goal is to show just a sliver of skin. For snug tops, I like pants with some volume, like these Target palazzo pants. I kept the jewelry minimal in this look, as I already had a lot going on with the pants. Pretty simple, pretty easy! Stay tuned for tomorrow’s paring, the crop top plus the mid-calf skirt.
Top: American Apparel/ Pants: Target (similar)/ Sandals: Dolce Vita (similar)/ Purse: Coach/ Necklace: Vintage/ Bracelet: Vintage/ Ring: Vintage/ Earrings: Lord & Taylor
*Side sale note about what I’m wearing: I recently found the pants on clearance at Target. My motto with Target is to shop often, buy only occasionally. Also, Lord & Taylor (earrings) always offers coupons, so be on the lookout! Sign up for emails, etc.
