Minus the Red Carpet

One of my favorite things about this time of year is awards season. The dresses, the dresses, the dresses…..I remember watching the Golden Globes, Grammys, and Oscars with my mom year after year growing up, and I’m pretty sure it was all for the dresses. We usually didn’t end up even watching the award portion of the show, but mainly focused on the best part- the red carpet.

Due to a lack of red carpet events to attend, I try to refrain from buying too many (…any…) evening gowns. This skirt however, I can make a case for.

The best part about this skirt is its’ versatility. Worn dressed up here with a slinky crop top, I also recently dressed it down with a gray sweatshirt and flats for a shopping day (check out Instagram for the look). Lastly, it is completely comfortable, while still looking extremely classic and put-together. Definitely one of my most favorite H&M finds.

I finished this feminine look with a floral Henri Bendel clutch …. a pretty pop against an all black palette.
