Hi Lovelies! I am taking a quick pause today from fashion and food (side note- the recipe for the celebratory cake batter smoothie pictured above will be posted soon!) to update you on a few things and reflect on the past year. A Lovely Side Project turned one yesterday! I can’t believe it has been a year working on LSP. I am continually thankful day after day that I have this space to be creative and can be a part of this online community of intelligent, thoughtful people who spread knowledge and share creative passions. (Also- a special thanks to Kelly, my original partner in blogging and the one who helped me start this whole journey.) I’ve found that creating content and packaging that content for this space is something that I am truly passionate about. I am grateful to all of you for your support and thank you for coming back day after day. I have big plans for this passion project and I hope you’ll stay with me for the ride.
In other news, I was beyond excited to find out that I would be included in the InStyle April 2014 print issue! I have been an InStyle lover since I was a tube top-wearing teenager ripping out pictures of Posh Spice. To this day, I continually draw inspiration from the magazine (but now rip out pictures of Victoria Beckham). I was stoked to open it up and see the picture below. Definitely a surreal, awesome moment…
InStyle also selected me as Reader of the Week this past week, which is a great feature they do online introducing bloggers/fashionistas who’ve been inspired by previous articles in the magazine.
