Without fail, each year when Fall rolls around I suddeny feel the urge to step up my weekend uniform. I’m not sure if it’s the addition of extra layers or the opportunity to wear cute boots that causes this urge. Either way, I get way too excited about getting dressed on a Saturday afternoon.
I found this tailored cape at Banana Republic late Fall of last year. I usually wear the coat with skinny jeans and stacked booties, but lately I’ve been loving it paired with skirts and dresses. I finished the look with a cute printed scarf (yet another reason I may love getting dressed in the Fall -the reintroduction of cute scarves into my life).

Your hair and makeup look gorgeous!!! I just got a pair of black leather ankle booties with a chuky-ish heel for fall (I have no clue how to describe them). I have no clue how to style them though!
Thanks Kelly! Your ankle boots sound adorable- definitely a good buy for fall and winter! I love wearing booties with a pair of skinny jeans – regular denim or black – and cuffing them just a bit to show a sliver of ankle. I also love pairing them with a loose dress and slouchy cardigan- it’s a great weekend look!
